The Secretary’s office answers letters, telephone calls and email on weekdays. The club is a mile south-west of Wadhurst, an hour from London by train.

The Secretary’s office

Charlotte Fenwick runs the club day to day: membership, visiting golf, the committee and the calendar. Her office is open Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 5.

Letters, telephone calls and email are all welcome, and all are answered. Anything sent at the weekend is read first thing on Monday morning.

Getting here

Averleigh lies in the High Weald, a mile south-west of Wadhurst. Choose how you are coming and the way is drawn on the map.

The way to Averleigh, not to scaleThe A21 runs from London through Lamberhurst. From Lamberhurst the B2100 runs south-west into Wadhurst. Wadhurst station lies north-west of the village on the railway from London.   1. Leave the A21 at Lamberhurst and take the B2100 south through Wadhurst.
  2. Averleigh Lane leaves the village to the south-west. The club gates are a mile along it, on the right, between stone piers.

About an hour and a quarter from central London, outside the rush.

  1. Trains run from London Charing Cross to Wadhurst in about an hour, through Tunbridge Wells.
  2. Taxis wait at the station on most trains. The club is eight minutes away.
  3. Tell the House the train you are on and it will arrange a car to meet you.

Twice an hour on weekdays, hourly on Sundays.

Parking In the old stable yard, signed to the left before the House. Visitors are asked not to park on the drive.

Write to the club

The Secretary’s office reads every message and replies within one working day. Dining and rooms are passed to the House, lessons to the Golf Studio.

To ask about a visitor tee time, the visiting request is quicker. For membership, the Secretary prefers a request for an introduction.
